ROBERT GRADINJAN
Robert Jacob Gradinjan, 75, Town of Worcester, Phillips, died at his home on Saturday, August 6, 2016. He was born in the Town of Worcester on December 11, 1940, the son of Matt and Rose (Sand) Gradinjan Sr.. He was a 1958 graduate of the Phillips High School. Following high school, he attended Northcentral Technical Institute in Wausau where he earned a degree as an Automotive Technician. He served his country in the United States Army. He was married to Dolores Janak in 1968, they later divorced. He was employed for over 45 years as a mechanic for Warga Auto and Truck. He was a member of Saint Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church of Phillips. In his free time he enjoyed gardening, fishing, woodworking, and was an avid racing fan that enjoyed working on racecars.
He is survived by two daughters, Dawn (Mickey) Nosser, Phillips, and Cheryl (Allen) Kropp, Medford, WI; by one granddaughter, Ashlyn Kropp; by one brother, Matt Jr. (Shirley), Fifield; and by three sisters, Patricia (Dale) Marohl, Pulaski, WI, Mary Schwalenberg, Potter, WI, and Kathleen (Wayne) Svoboda, River Falls, WI; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother in law Dallas Schwalenberg, and one son, Craig.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, August 13, at Saint Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church in Phillips with Father Gerald Hagen celebrating the Funeral Mass. Inurnment will be in the Saint Patrick Cemetery in Phillips. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services.
