ROBERT FARLEY Sr.
Robert Allan Farley Sr., Phillips, Town of Elk, died in the St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield on Wednesday, December 2, 2015. He was born in DeKalb, Illinois, on June 26, 1942, the son of Bernard and Irene (Oberg) Farley. He was married to Nancy Longston in Evanston, Illinois, on October 19, 1963. He served his country in the Illinois National Guard. He worked as a Manufacturers Representative for Phillips Plastics Corporation for 28 years, retiring in 1997. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and of the American Legion. In his free time he enjoyed boating, fishing, hunting, studying history, especially Native American History, and spending time with his grandchildren, family, and friends.
He is survived by Nancy, his wife of 52 years; by one son, Matthew (Maribeth), Lutsen, MN; by two daughter-in-laws, Marie, Mankato, MN, and Christina, Milwaukee; by seven grandchildren, Lauren, Michaela, Samuel, Hunter, Andrew, Gavin, and Travis; and by two brothers, William (Mary Ann), St. Charles, IL, and Donald (Janice), Peoria, Arizona. He is preceded in death by two sons, Robert Jr. and Thomas.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, December 19, at Saint Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church with Father Gerald Hagen celebrating the Funeral Mass. Friends may call at the church on Saturday, December 19 from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services. The family suggests that memorials take the form of a donation to Hope Lodge in Marshfield in Bob’s name.
