RAYMOND ‘RAY’ HOLLINGER
Raymond “Ray” Hollinger, 71, of Marshfield, formerly of Phillips, died on Monday, November 12, 2018, at the home of his daughter under the care of Ministry Home Care Hospice, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on December 13, 1946, in Prentice, the son of Richard and Ruby (Tague) Hollinger. He attended Prentice High School with the Class of 1964. Following high school he was employed as a dairy farmer, a logger with his father-in-law, Joseph Kozak, as a truck driver for DeLeasky Brothers, and then for many years was the owner of Hollinger Trucking until the time of his retirement in 2005 due to ill health. In his free time he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren, restoring his 1965 Chevy Nova Coupe, watching NASCAR racing, fishing, hunting, camping, and traveling.
He is survived by Janice, his wife of 50 years; by one daughter, Melissa Milam, Marshfield; by one son, Eric (Jessica), Phillips, by 6 grandchildren; by one brother, Edwin, Sobieski, WI, and by three sisters, Elaine (John) Merchant, Sioux City, Iowa, Jessie O’Brien, Lockhart, Texas, and Linda Savory, Zion, IL. He is preceded in death by his parents; by four sisters, Annabelle Retzlaff, Eva Fasdal, Carol Holtz, and Marlene Garcia; and by two brothers, Milo and Richard “Dick” Hollinger.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, November 17, at Saint Therrese of Lisieux Catholic Church in Phillips with Father Shaji Pazhukkathara celebrating the Funeral Mass. Friends may call at the Heindl Funeral Home in Phillips after 5:00 P.M. on Friday, November 16, and at the church on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services.
