Paul N. Harding

December 19, 1958 — January 17, 2022

Paul Harding, 63, of Phillips, WI, passed away on Monday, January 17, 2022, at the Marshfield Medical Center in Eau Claire, WI, with family at his side after a very long battle with cancer. Paul was born on December 19, 1958, in Baraboo, WI, the son of Millard, Jr. and Carolyn (Schmidtke) Harding.
Paul married his loving wife, Colleen Bristol, on October 30, 1976. They enjoyed 45 great years together. He loved all his family and friends with his big heart. He worked construction with his dad for many years, he also worked 12 years at Grede Foundries in Reedsburg, WI. He then bought his dream – a family resort in Weyerhaeuser, WI, and added to that dream for the following 18 years, making numerous friends along the way. Paul was an avid outdoors kind of guy; he loved to fish and relax around his fire pit and watch the lake from shore or behind the seat of his pontoon boat. He was an avid sports fan - especially the Green Bay Packers. You were always able to hear his voice during every Packer game!
He is survived by his wife, Colleen; sons, Jason (Elizabeth) and Travis (Heather); daughter, Stacy (Mark) Pomeroy; six grandchildren, Olivia, Jaycee, Paula, Miles, Makayla, and Patrick; his father, Millard, Jr; brothers, Duane (Marge), David (Debbie), Dale (Vicky), Tim (Ann), Mike (Chris), Greg (Cathy), and Kevin (Sandy); two sisters, Teresa (Dennis) Lien and Shelly (Clay) Sabourin; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives; special friends, Bob and Annette Grotzinger of Ladysmith.
Paul is preceded in death by his mother, Carolyn; grandparents, Earnest and Leona Schmidtke and Millard, Sr. and Iona Harding.
A Celebration of Life will take place on January 29, 2022, at the VFW Post 5578, 306 S Lake Ave, Phillips, WI 54555, from 1 – 6 p.m. Heindl-Nimsgern Funeral Home is assisting the family.
