Patricia Ann “Pat” Heikkinen, 69, Prentice, passed away on Wednesday, April 18, 2018, en route via ambulance from Aspirus Wausau Hospital to hospice care at Aspirus Pleasant View, Phillips.

She was born in Ely, Minnesota on November 5, 1948 to Stanley and Helen (Bagley) Hueckman, she attended and graduated from Prentice High School in 1966.

On December 3, 1966, she married Dale Heikkinen, they lived in Prentice and raised two children. She was employed at Prentice Hydraulics, Inc., later went on to own and operate Ceramic Village & Gift Shop for over 20 years and was a long-time consultant with Mary Kay, Inc. She was active as a member of St. John’s Catholic Church, the Crazy Hearts Quilters and volunteered countless hours as a local coordinator for the American Red Cross Blood Drive. She and Dale enjoyed entertaining family and friends, pontoon rides, backyard bonfires and any activities their children, nieces and nephews were involved in. In addition to her being an avid Packers, Badgers, Brewers and NASCAR fan, she was a talented ceramicist, seamstress and cake decorator. She loved reading, gardening and all types of crafting but most of all, she treasured time with family and friends. “Auntie Pat” will always be remembered for her kind heart, warm smile and her generous and caring spirit.

Pat is survived by Dale, her husband of over 50 years; one daughter, Rebecca (Scott) Dennis, Freedom; one son, David, Prentice; her mother, Helen Hallberg, Tomahawk; 1 sister, Theresa Zielke, Prentice; two brothers Jeffrey (Barbara) Hueckman, Prentice and Bradley Hueckman, Prentice; 15 nieces and nephews and by many dear relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Stanley Hueckman and one brother, Charles Hueckman.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 19th, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church at 757 Cherry St. in Prentice with Father Gerald Hagen of St. John’s officiating. Relatives and friends may call at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Inurnment will be in the Prentice Cemetery at a later date.

A donation will be made to the Prentice Volunteer Fire Department and Ambulance Service.
