OLLYE GRINSTEAD
Ollye Irene Grinstead, 100, Town of Hackett, died at her home on Monday, January 4, 2016. She was born in Doniphan, Missouri, on November 25, 1915, the daughter of Charles and Oma (Decker) Murray. She was married to Hershell Grinstead on May 4, 1946, in Tipton, Indiana. In her working career she was employed by Oaks Manufacturing Company in Tipton, Indiana, By Delco Remey in Anderson, Indiana, and as a clerk by the Village Gift Shop in Tipton, Indiana. She had been a member of the First Baptist Church of Tipton, Indiana. In her free time she enjoyed reading, gardening, and the outdoors.
She is survived by one daughter, Marilyn Whisler, Prentice; by one granddaughter, Deborah (Edwin) Harmon, Prentice; by three grandsons, Ken (Lyndia), Mark (Loretta),, and Doug (Fay); by one brother, Orvin Crook, Zionsville, Indiana; and by one nephew, Bob Crook, Zionsville, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hershell, on September 5, 1980; by one sister, Cleatus; and by two brothers, Ceicel and Charley.
Graveside services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Friday, January 8, at the Quinnesec/Breitung Cemetery in Quinnesec, Michigan.
