NORMAN VANDERWYST
Norman Louis Vanderwyst, 78, Prentice, died in the Marshfield Medical Center in Marshfield on Monday, July 17, 2017. He was born in Granton, Wisconsin, on May 18, 1939, the son of LaVerne and Irene (Quicker) Vanderwyst. He was a 1958 graduate of the Granton High School. He served his country in the U.S. Army National Guard. He was married to Patricia Ann Kammerer on May 15, 1965 in Granton, Wisconsin. The couple made their home in Granton until 1984 when they moved to Prentice. He was employed by Rollahome and them by Marshfield Homes, then by the O W Trindles Feed Mill in Granton, and then in 1984 by the Mix Rite Feed Mill in Kennan until the time of his retirement. He attended the First Lutheran Church in Prentice. He had served as the Granton Constable and the Granton Fire Chief for a number of years. In his free time he enjoyed camping.
He is survived by four children, Sandra (Dean) Krueger, Phillips, Cindy (Craig) Dering, Ogema, Larry (Rene), Wausau, and Terry, Cross City, FL; by 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; by one sister, Darlene (Dale) Wernberg, Marshfield; and by two brothers, Ralph (Mareile, Berlin, Germany, and Harold (Marlene) , Alpena, Michigan. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia, on February 2, 2005; by one infant daughter, Tammy; by one granddaughter, Morgan Dering; and by one sister, Deanna Sholly.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, July 22, at the First Lutheran Church in Prentice with Pastor Richard Hall officiating. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 1:00 P.M. until the time of services. Inurnment will be in the Zion American Lutheran Church Cemetery in Granton, Wisconsin.
