NINA MARJORY KNOWLTON
Nina M. Knowlton, 82, Prentice, died on Tuesday, July 12, 2016, at the Aspirus Wausau Hospital, Wausau.
She was born on April 19, 1934, in Menominee, Mi., the daughter of Gilbert and Marjory (Oakwood) Stewart.
She spent her early life and schooling in Peshtigo, Stoughton, Wi., and then graduated from Memorial High School in Beloit. She then furthered her education and attended school to become a secretary.
She was married to Douglas Knowlton on April 28, 1956, in Milwaukee, Wi.,
They made their home in Catawba in 1976 and then in Prentice in 2000. She was employed for over 24 years as a CNA for Community Health Resources Park Falls, prior to her retirement. In her free time she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband Douglas, Prentice, by 1 son Gilbert, Clintonville, Wi., by 1 daughter: Eline Knowlton, Mondovi, Wi., by 7 grandchildren: Melanie Niznik, Mallory Niznik, Erika (Chad) Niznik, Hannah (Dale) Postl, Emily Knowlton, Rachel Knowlton, and Elijah Knowlton, by 5 great grandchildren, by 3 brothers: Michael Stewart and Edward (Rae) Stewart, all of Neosho, Missouri, Jock (Sharon) Stewart, Rainier, Oregon, and Nikki Stewart, Milwaukee, Wi.
She was preceded in death by her parents, by 3 sisters: Virginia, Violet Jean, and Janet, and by 1 brother: Phillip.
A Graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, at the Prentice Cemetery, Prentice with Pastor Terry Seller of the Word of Life Family Church, Phillips officiating.
Friends may gather at the Heindl Funeral Home in Prentice at 1:45 P.M on Saturday, July 16, 2016 for the procession to the Prentice Cemetery.
The Heindl Funeral Home in Prentice is in charge of the arrangements.
