MILTON GUSTAFSON
Milton Gustafson, 74, of Brantwood died at Wausau Aspirus Hospital on Tuesday evening February 12, 2019. He was born on February 14, 1944, to Frank and Flora (Tappani) Gustafson in Tomahawk, Wisconsin. He was a 1962 graduate of the Tripoli High School, and a 1967 graduate of University of Wisconsin, Superior. He served his country in the Unites States Army from 1967 to 1969. He was married to Patricia Melquist on april 16, 1971, in Ogema, Wisconsin. Even though he was a graduate of Superior University, he spent his life working as a log trucker for his family business, Gustafson Trucking. He truly loved his wife’s cooking and after her death, his son Frank’s cooking, and enjoyed sweets. He was a great believer in Absorbine Jr. horse liniment for relieving all of his aches and pains. Upon his retirement in 2013 he enjoyed watching Westerns and his beloved Packers, Brewers, Bucks, and Wisconsin Badgers. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially golf outings with his sons (lots of mulligans).
He was preceded in death by his wife Patricia on July 10, 2013; by two brothers, William “Bill” Gustafson and Donald Gustafson, and also by two nephews, Kenneth “Hi-Fi” Gustafson and Terry “Chauma” Gustafson. He is survived by two sons, Frank, Brantwood, and Robert (Connie) , Wausau. He is also survived by two brothers, Harvey Gustafson, Brantwood and Willard (Sandy) Gustafson, Tripoli. He is also survived by close family members Terry Higgins, Barbara Eckles, and his brother-in-law, Andy (Karen) Melquist. There are many others too numerous to mention, including a few cats. Milton’s last wish was to come home, so his ashes will be returning to his home in Brantwood. There will be a celebration of his life at his home around Memorial Day. BYOB He would have been 75 on Valentine’s Day.
