Maria Englund

Maria (Rose) Englund, 66, of Prentice passed away peacefully on Monday, February 21, 2022, at Tomahawk Health Services Home. She was born on October 2, 1955, to Alfonso and Esperanza (Arreola) Hernandez in El Paso, TX.
Maria and Larry were married on June 21, 1980 and were happily married for 41 years. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, and baking. When her grandchildren came to visit, she loved to do arts and crafts and dance with them. She was a long-time member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW in Medford, WI. She will be deeply missed by her friends and family.
She is survived by her loving husband Larry; children, Kimberly Kalander, Joshua, and Lance; granddaughters, Miranda Kalander, Sheridan Kalander, Kiah Kalander, and Ashlyn Englund; grandson, Robert Englund; sisters, Espy Mize, Margie Adams; brothers, Alfonso Hernandez and Kim Kyle; numerous nieces and nephews; and many friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Martha Perkins.
A Celebration of Life will be on March 5, 2022, at 11 a.m. at the First Lutheran Church, 670 Main Street Prentice, WI 54556. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. until the start of service. Burial will take place in the spring at the Prentice Cemetery. Heindl-Nimsgern Funeral Home is assisting the family.
