KENNETH BUBENIC
Kenneth Frank Bubenic, 76, Phillips, died in the St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield on Sunday, July 20, 2014. He was born on December 17, 1937, in the Town of Emery to Louis and Mary (Dusek) Bubenic. He was a 1955 graduate of the Phillips High School.
He was married to Donna Radlinger in Phillips on October 24, 1975. He worked as an auto mechanic as a young man, then as a mechanic for Schloskey’s Machinery Hill for 26 years, and then as an assembler and field service technician for Marquip for 15 years until the time of his retirement in 2000. He served his country in the Wisconsin National Guard and saw active duty at Fort Louis, Washington, in 1962. He was a member of St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church of Phillips, was an active participant in the Czech Fest including serving as one of the Singers, a member of the Price County Antique Association, of the Happy Dancers Polka Club, and of the Z.C.B.J. Lodge. In his free time he enjoyed working with machinery, especially tractors, travel, dancing with Donna, making firewood, and deer hunting.
He is survived by his wife, Donna; by four children, Christina (Bill) Dinauer, Hudson, WI, Sandra Northrop, Florida, Daniel (Lori) Northrop, Winona, MN, and Ronald Northrop, Phillips; by sis grandchildren, Isabel, Ashley, Amanda, Ethan, Joseph, and Adam; by two great grandchildren, Lakota Peissig and Hannah Peissig; and by one brother, Louis (Dorothy) Bubenic, Phillips. He is preceded in death by one daughter, Kennice Willis; by one son, Michael Northrop; by one grandson Ian Peissig; and by his parents.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, July 23, at St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church in Phillips with Deacon James Celba officiating. Inurnment will be in the Emery Cemetery in the Town of Emery. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 9:30 A.M. until the time of services.
