Judy Swenson

Judy Swenson, 73, passed away on October 28, 2022, at the Rib Lake Nursing Home in Rib Lake, WI. She was born to Madison and Mildred (Newlin) Sidenbender on September 7, 1949, in Mattoon, IL.

She grew up in Chicago, IL and graduated with Honors in a class of 500 students. She continued her education at a Teachers College in Medford, WI. She married Larry Swenson, and together they raised their children in Catawba, WI where they operated a Dairy Farm. After they went their separate ways, she worked for the Phillips School District for 20+ years until her retirement. After her retirement, she enjoyed operating her Hobby Farm and playing games while visiting with her family and friends. Her faith was very important to her, she attended fellowship at many Local Churches over the years and loved going on any church outings she was able to.

She is survived by her children, Amy (Gary) Damrau, Kenneth, Tait, Adele (Khris) Hallstrand; grandchildren, Danyele, Dustin, Hunter, Vivian, and Charlie; siblings, Max Sidenbender, Donald Sidenbender, Steve Sidenbender, Reid Sidenbender, Janet Johnson; and numerous other family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

A Funeral Service will take place at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, November 2, 2022, at the Heindl-Nimsgern Funeral Home, 284 Chestnut Street in Phillips, WI 54555. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. and continue until the start of service. Burial will take place at Hillcrest Cemetery in Hawkins. Heindl-Nimsgern Funeral Home is assisting the family.
