JERRY NELSON
Jerry Nelson, age 64, of Ogema, WI, passed away at his home while under the care of his family and Flambeau Home Health and Hospice on January 31, 2019, following a long battle with cancer. Funeral services will be held at the Ogema Baptist in Ogema at 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 16, with Pastor Rodney Price officiating. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 2:00 P.M. until the time of services.
Jerry was born on May 19, 1954, in Braham, MN, the son of Clifford and Mary Lou Nelson.
He is survived by daughters Gerri (Kevin) Paulson, Stillwater, MN, Theresa (Frank) Gonzalez, Ogema, and their children, Anthony, Zachary, Brianna, Ashya, and Nicholas, Desirae Nelson, Ogema, and her children Alaysha, Gavin, and Dayton; by brothers, Steve Nelson, Ogema, Brian (Mary) Nelson, Stacy, MN, Scott(Kelly) Nelson, Mora, MN; by sisters Linda Waletzki, Glencoe, MN, Cindy (Jim) Henningfeld, Prentice; and by special persons, Bobbie Nelson, Phillips, Lanora Wildman, Rib Lake, WI, Cindy Nelson, Brooklyn Park, MN, Ruth Clark, Prentice; and by many good friends, neighbors, nieces and nephews, Aunts, and Uncles. He is preceded in death by his parents, and by one daughter, Jodi.
Jerry graduated from Cambridge MN High School in 1972. He had a variety of jobs in Minnesota and Washington, doing body work, mechanical, and farming until he settled at Badger Precision in Ogema for the last 18 years. He enjoyed working, farming, hunting, fishing, and was also involved in rendezvous, but mostly enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
