JANETTE STAROBA
Janette Lynn Starpba, 62, Phillips, died in the Flambeau Hospital in Park Falls on Tuesday, July 4, 2017. She was born in Chicago, Illinois, on October 29, 1954, the daughter of Frank and Betty Tihlarik. She was married to Wayne Staroba on July 3, 1994, in Park Falls, Wisconsin. She was employed a the Manager of the Auto Stop Convenience Store in Park Falls for many years, and recently was employed by the Minnow Lake Adult Family Home in Phillips. She attended the Word of Life Family Church in Phillips. In her free time she was very devoted to her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Wayne; by four children, Scott, Utah, Michael, Park Falls, Rochelle, Phillips, and Justin, Minneapolis, MN; by four step-children, Wayne (Jennie) Staroba, Prentice, Michelle (Sam) Esterholm, Prentice, Jason Staroba, Phillips, and Jessica Staroba, Emery; by 20 grandchildren and by great great grandchildren; and by six brothers and sisters, Ron Tihlarik, Park Falls, Mary (Jim) Deutch, Moundsville, MN. Gordon (DeDe) Tihlarik, Phillips, Joseph (Lori) Tihlarik, Onamia, MN, Betty Joe (Neil) Tatroe, Chicago, IL, and Shirley (Tom) Hartman, Chicago, IL. She is preceded in death by her parents; by one step-son, Shane Staroba; by two brothers, William and Fred Tihlarik; and by one sister, Karen Phillips.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2017, at the Elk Lake Pavillion, Phillips, from 1:00 P.M. until 5:00P.M.. A potluck meal will be held and all dishes are welcome.
