Genevieve “Gen” Kurth-Lesak


(Nee Ohrstrom) Passed away peacefully on Saturday September 24, 2022, at age 85.


Beloved wife of her first husband Vincent Kurth who passed away in 1991, and her second husband Richard Lesak whom she married in 1993 and preceded her in death in 2021. Loving mother of Christy (David) Hierz-Siebauer, the late Kevin (Debbie) Kurth, Bonnie (Don) Walter and Jay (Janet) Kurth. Dear grandmother of Lindsay Hierz, Jenni LaCroix, Alex Kurth, Ben Walter and Steven Kurth, and great-grandmother of Trevor Gray, Ethan Szablewski, Aurora LaCroix, Holly and Gemma Kurth. Also survived by other relatives and friends.


Gen was a member of the last graduating class of Woodland School in 1944. This one-room schoolhouse was the first known school in Price County, WI, and was built in the corner of her Ohrstrom family's homestead in 1887.

Visitation Tuesday, October 4, 2022, from 10-10:45 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Faith Community, 9520 W. Forest Home Ave., Hales Corners, WI 53130, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM.


The burial will take place at 12 PM on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, at Catawba Cemetery, W9374 Midway Rd., Catawba, WI 54515.
