Frank H. Spring, 82, Township of Worcester, died on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 while kayaking on the river he loved.
He was born on May 3, 1934 in Biel, Switzerland, the son of Herman and Rosa (Schori) Spring. He came to the United States as a child with his parents. He attended and graduated from Stratford High School, Class of 1952. He was married to Romaine Schallock. She survives him. He served his country in the U.S. Navy
Following his military service he was the owner and operator with his brother of Spring Electric, Stratford, Wi., then was employed by Yellowstone National Park , then returned to Wisconsin and was employed by Thomas Electric, Marshfield, until the time of his retirement. They made their home in the Town of Worcester following retirement in 1996.
In his free time he was an avid outdoorsman.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Phillips.
He is survived by his wife Romaine, Town of Worcester, by 1 son Chris (Gina) Schallock, Sheboygan, Wi., by 2 granddaughters: Heather (Terry) Arnold, Plymouth, Wi., and Colisha Schallock, Sheboygan, by 2 great grandchildren Cayden and MaKenna Arnold, and by 2 sisters: Marlene (Gordon) Busche, Stratford, and Heidi Grassenbacher, West Salem, Ohio, by a nephew John P. Spring, North Pole, Alaska, and by other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother Lory.
As per Franks wishes there will be no funeral service.
The Heindl Funeral Home, Phillips, is in charge of the arrangements.
