FLORENCE HABRIGA
Florence Mae Habriga, 92, Park Falls, formerly of Leslie, Arkansas, died in the Park Manor Nursing Home in Park Falls on Monday, January 30, 2017. She was born on April 30, 1924, in Mukwonago, Wisconsin, the daughter of George and Cecil Schubert. She was a graduate of the South Milwaukee High School. She served her country during WWII in the United States Navy and was stationed at BuSandA, Cleveland, Ohio. She was married to Alex Habriga in South Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on November 24, 1945. She was employed in the Radiology Office of Trinity Memorial Hospital (Aurora Saint Lukes South Shore), Cudahy, Wisconsin. She was Past Guardian Jobs Daughters Bethel #50 of South Milwaukee, a member of the Americal Legion Post No. 261 of Greenbush, of the Women’s Auxillary of American Legion Post No. 261, of the Rockey Knoll Health Care Facility Auxillary, a National Member of the WAVES, a member of WAVES National Badger Unit No. 39, a Charter Member of Women’s Memorial, and a Charter Member of National World War II.
She is survived by four daughters, Veronica “Roni” (Bob) Ciardo, Butternut, WI, Ellen (Carl) Cook, South Milwaukee, WI, Carol (Rich) Brusnahan, Greensboro, NC, and Gloria (Jeff) Stecker, Eden, WI; by one daughter-in-law, Karen Habriga; by 12 grandchildren and by 16 great grandchildren; and by her companion, James Bradley, Leslie, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alex, on March 21, 1971; and is also preceded in death by her son, George, and by three brothers, George Schubert, Edward Schubert, and Milo Schubert.
Committal services will be held at the Forest Hill Cemetery Chapel in Oak Creek, Wisconsin, on Friday, February 17, at 11:00 A.M.
