EDWARD VINCENT MICHAEL TROJAK
Edward V. M. Trojak, 98, longtime Town of Flambeau /Lugerville resident died on Sunday, August 28, 2016, at the Aspirus Pleasant View Nursing Home in Phillips under the care of Flambeau Home health Care and Hospice and his family.
He was born on November 28, 1917, in Cokesburg, Pa. the son of Louis and Louise (Tuma) Trojak. He moved with his family to the Town of Flambeau/Lugerville in 1918. He attended the Lugerville State Graded School for grades 1 – 10.He attended and graduated from Phillips High School, Class of 1936. While in high school he excelled in baseball and football. Following his education in 1936,he moved to Kenosha before he entered the military service during WW2 in the U.S. Army where he served in the European Theater of Action, until his discharge in 1945. After his discharge he worked for the Kenosha Auto Transport and the Terrabassi Construction Co., until 1947 when he returned to Lugerville to work on the family farm.
He was married to Therese DuMonte on June 13, 1953 at the former St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Phillips.
He worked the family farm and was also employed by Omark Industries in Prentice from 1962 until the time of his retirement in 1985. He was one of the oldest residents in Lugerville .
In his retirement he was an avid Brewer and Packer fan and enjoyed listening to old time music.
He was a life member of the Frank and Michael Baran VFW Post #5778, and a former member of the Lane-Kreiling American Post #122, both of Phillips.
He is survived by his wife Therese, Town of Flambeau/Lugerville, by 1 son Gregory, Mukwonago, Wi., and by 1 daughter Maureen, Town of Flambeau/Lugerville.
Also survived by nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, by 2 sisters: Ann Robillard and Betty Jerrell, by 2 brothers Jerry and Joe, by 1 nephew Richard Robillard, by nieces Joan Jackson and Emile DuMonte, and 3 brothers-in-law.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, August 31, 2016, at St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church, Phillips, with Fr. Gerald Hagen officiating. Interment will be in the St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Phillips, with military honors by the Frank and Michael Baran VFW Post #5778 and theLane-Kreiling American Legion Post #122 both of Phillips presiding. Friends may call from 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2016 at the church until the time of the service.
The Heindl Funeral Home, Phillips, is in charge of the arrangements.
