DORIS RAIT
Doris Ann Rait, died on Monday, August 22, 2016, at the Aspirus Pleasant View Nursing Home in Phillips at the age of 92, surrounded by her family.
Born on January 24, 1924, in Wild Rose, Wi., to John and Erna (Frenrich) Colligan. She married William Rait, Sr., on June 6, 1942, in Parfreyville, Wi., They operated a dairy farm for many years and retired to Phillips in 1980.
In her free time, she loved playing cards, gardening, watching & feeding birds. She loved to spend time with her family & friends and enjoyed fishing and hunting and was a love of her pets. She was known by all for her wonderful cooking and many family meals.
She is survived by three sons: Patrick (Diane) Rait, Wild Rose, Wi., Thomas (Debbie) Rait, and William, Jr. (Joyce) Rait, all of Phillips. and by 1 daughter Sandra (Dick) Neitzel, Oshkosh; 16 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren, by numerous nieces and nephews, and many special friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, by her husband William, by 1 son John Rait, one daughter Audrey Seibel, by one granddaughter Shelly Krahn, by 2 brothers Stanley and Arden, and by 1 son-in-law Marv Seibel.
A visitation will be held at the Heindl Funeral Home, Phillips on Friday, August 26, 2016 from 4:30 P.M. where a parish wake service will be held at 7:00 P.M, with Fr. Gerald Hagen presiding.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, August 27, 2016, at the Crystal Lake Methodist Church, Crystal Lake, Wi., with Jeffrey Fletcher officiating. Interment will be in the Crystal Lake Cemetery, Crystal Lake, Wi., Friends may also call from 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at the church until the time of the service
