> Delores A. Salek, 84, Phillips, died on Sunday, June 12, 2016, at the
> Aspirus Pleasant View Nursing Home, Phillips, surrounded by her family.
> She was born on September 17, 1931, in Phillips, the daughter of Frank and
> Mamie (LaRose) Voda. She spent her entire life in the Phillips area. She
> attended and graduated from Phillips High School, Class of 1950.
> She was married to James Salek at the United Methodist Church in Phillips
> by Rev. Norman Barthel on December 27, 1949. The couple then built a new
> home on Wilson Lake Flowage that was the first home on that lake. Her
> husband, James, preceded her in death on October 29, 2004.
> Together they raised their 5 daughters, Dianne, Patsy, Nancy, Jamie and
> Suzanne at that location. She also worked at Phillips Plastics
> Corporation, Phillips Division for over 22 years prior to her retirement.
> In her free time she enjoyed fishing, feeding the birds, was a seamstress,
> gardening (especially flowers), painting pictures and deer hunting. Her
> first buck was a 10 pointer.
> She is survived by her 5 daughters: Dianne (Bill) Gierman, Prentice, WI;
> Patsy (Dave) Wing, Memphis, Tenn.; Nancy Maki, Washburn, WI; Jamie (Keith)
> Kozak, Phillips, WI and Suzanne (Matt) Hutchings, Elk Plain, WA.
> She is also survived by her Grandchildren: Kristin, Sara Lee, Jeff, David,
> Jr., Amanda, Denise, Lorie, Scott, Lydia, Craig, Candie, Jason, Emily, and
> Josh.
> She is also survived by Great Grandchildren: Alex, Zachary, Matthew, Kate,
> Delaney, Carter, Sophia, William, Kenny, Justin, Amber, Dalton, Dylan,
> Katelyn, LaCrissa, Triston, Keith, Devon, Colton, DaKota, Christian,
> Clayton, Donovon, Shellie, Kaylee J., Kimber, Justin, Tayte, Kaylee G.,
> Joseph, James, Alexandria, Connor, Briley, Troy, Ava, and Destiny.
> She is further survived by 3 Great-Great Grandsons: Emmett, Noah and
> Jonathyn.

> Surviving siblings are: 1 brother: David (Jean) Voda, Phillips, WI and

> 2 sisters: Sandra (Robert) Barber, Phillips, WI and by Sylvia Howard,
> Texas.
> She was preceded in death by her parents, by 2 brothers: Ken and Harley,
> by 1 sister Frances Boglitsch and by 1 Great-Great Granddaughter Tanisha.
> A memorial service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, June 18, 2016,
> at the United Methodist Church, Phillips, WI with Pastor Loretta Waughtal
> officiating.
> Friends may call on Friday, June 17, 2016, at the United Methodist Church
> in Phillips after 5:30 P.M. and also at the church on Saturday, June 18,
> 2016 from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the service.
> A memorial fund has been established.
