BRYON JOSEPH KOCH
Bryon J. Koch, 62, Township of Worcester-Phillips, died on Saturday, December 6, 2014, at his home. He was born on March 20, 1952, in Phillips, the son of Dewey and Rosamond (Berger) Koch. Bryon spent most of his life in the Phillips area. He attended and graduated from Philips High School, Class of 1970. He was married to Karen Haubert on July 17, 1971, in Kennan. They made their home in Rudolph, Wi., for a short time before returning to Phillips.
Bryon was employed by Phillips Plastics, then as a Surge Dairy Farm Equipment distributor and service technician ,then at Marquip kna MarquipWard United for over 25 years.
In his free time he was an avid dirt track stockcar racer and fan and operated Koch Book Racing Engines building motors for many of the local dirt track racers. The race drivers had a moto for his business ”We have a recipe for you”
He is survived by his wife Karen, Phillips, by his 2 daughters: Jennifer (Duane) Miller, Prentice, and Rebecca (Shawn) Baratka, Phillips, by 4 grandchildren: Morgan and Bailey Miller, and Dawson and Dakiya Baratka. and by 3 brothers: Bruce, Fifield, Doug (Donna) Prentice, and Jeff (Debbie), Phillips.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and by 2 brothers-in-law Casey Bell and John Haubert.
A memorial Service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, Dec. 13, 2014, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Phillips, with pastor John Trewyn officiating.
Friend may call at the church from 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, Dec. 13, 2014, un til the time of the service.
