Anne F. Fojtik, 89, Phillips died on Wednesday, October 7, 2015, at the Flambeau Hospital, Park Falls. She was born on May 31, 1926, in Chicago, Ill., the daughter of Frank and Rosalie (Lysak) Fojtik. She spent her early life and schooling in Phillips. Following her education she made her home in the Chicago area. She was employed for many years as a care worker for the elderly at St Anne’s Hospital, Mary Margaret Manor Nursing Home, and Garfield Hospital all in the Chicago area prior to her retirement. She returned to Phillips in 2002 to be near family.
She was a member of St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church, Phillips.In her free time she enjoyed spending time with her family and was very faithful to her church.
She is survived by 1 brother: Emil (Frances) Foytik, Phillips, by 1 sister Marie Gallagly, Chicago, Ill., by 3 Sisters-In-Law Lila Foytik, Sturgeon Bay, WI., Violet Foytik, Phillips, and Jean Foytik, Chicago,and by nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and by 4 brothers: Frank, Joseph, John and Tony and by 2 sisters: Frances and Emily.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, October 10, 2015, at St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church, Phillips, with Fr. Gerald Hagen and Deacon James Celba officiating. Interment will be in the St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Phillips. Friends may call after 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, Oct. 10, 2015 at the church until the time of the service.
The Heindl Funeral Home, Phillips, is in charge of the arrangements.
