ALICE MARIE SPACEK

Alice M. Spacek, 85, Township of Worcester, died on Friday, October 10, 2014 at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield. She was born on November 27, 1928 in Milwaukee, the daughter of John and Mary Symanski. She made her home with her family as a child in Phillips. She attended and graduated from Phillips High School, Class of 1947. She was married to John Spacek on May 7,1949 in Phillips. After living in Milwaukee for many years following their marriage, they returned to Phillips in 1963. Alice worked at Louie's Cafe as a waitress, and then was employed at Phillips Plastics as a production support specialist from 1968 to the time of her retirement in 1993

Alice enjoyed baking and cooking, was an avid Milwaukee Brewers fan and worked on many cross-stitch and crocheting projects for family and friends. She also enjoyed many fishing trips both locally and to Canada. She was an active member of St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church, Phillips and greatly enjoyed visiting with family and friends near and far.

She is survived by two daughters: Sue (Dan) Cummings, Phillips, Barb (Steve) Martin, Tomahawk and by one son: Greg (Lisa) Spacek, Phillips. Alice is further survived by four grandchildren: Brad Cummings, Josh (Clover) Spacek, Stasi (Craig) Precour and Jordan (Victoria) Spacek and five great grand sons: Kaleb, Connor, Kolton and Corbin Precour and Noah John Spacek.

She was preceded in death by her husband John on September 16, 2007, her parents, Mary and John and two siblings Michael and Helen.

Friends may call on Thursday, October 16, 2014 after 5:30 p.m. at the Heindl Funeral Home; a parish wake service will be held at 7:00 p.m. with Deacon James Celba officiating.

On Friday, October 17, 2014, friends may call at St. Therese of Lisieux from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m.. Fr. Gerald Hagen and Deacon James Celba will be officiating the Memorial Service. Inurnment will follow the service at St Patrick's Catholic Cemetery, Phillips.

In lieu of flowers, a Memorial Fund has been established by the family.
