Alice Rose Sellers

ALICE SELLERS
Alice “Allie” Rose Meskill Sellers, 85, Phillips, passed away at her home on Sunday, July 20, 2014, while under the care of her family. She was born on November 26, 1928, the daughter of Bert and Lena (Zapfe) Meskill. Her 65 year marriage to Pastor Terry Sellers began in Crown Point, Indiana, on May 14, 1949. The couple raised their family in Prairie du Chien, WI, but Alice’s longing to be “back home in Phillips” brought the couple back to their hometown where they have resided for the past 36 years. Upon returning to Phillips Alice and Terry founded the Full Gospel Lighthouse Church (now the Word of Life Family Church) and the Phillips Christian Academy. She was employed by Marquip in Phillips for over 18 years.
Alice was a wonderful seamstress, sewing clothing for her growing family, and later in life made wedding and bridesmaid dresses for family. She also loved gardening, fishing, cooking and baking for her family. She maintained a strong work ethic outside the home, working until retirement at the age of 71.
She was a faithful wife to her loving husband, Terry; a devoted, prayerful mother to her seven children, Patsy (Rob) Norton, Conover, NC, Terry (Jeff) Hutchins, Altoona, WI, Sandy (Mike) Prusinski, Rice Lake, WI, Kelly (Rita) Sellers, Cumberland, WI, Cheryl (Scott) Schmidt, Osseo, WI, Rocky (Jodie) Sellers, Cedar Rapids, IA, and Tammy (Rick) Lee, Holmen, WI; to 31 grandchildren, and 41 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; by one sister, Grace Holder; and by four brothers, Bert, Harold, Kenny, and Dale Meskill; and by her infant son, Kelly Lyle. A life of unwavering faith in Jesus Christ is the legacy she leaves behind. She was loved and will be dearly missed by family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, July 26, at the Word of Life Family Church with Pastor Jason Bridge officiating. Interment will be in the Emery Cemetery in the Town of Emery.
