MICHAEL HILL
Michael Alan Hill, 65, Butternut, died in the Marshfield Medical Center in Marshfield on Monday, June 18, 2018. He was born on March 16, 1953, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the son of Elwin and Lois (Janke) Hill. He was a graduate of the St. Francis High School in St. Francis, Wisconsin. He was married to Melissa Glaeser in Phillips on August 30, 1991. He was employed as a crane hitch operator by the Rexnor Manufacturing Company in Milwaukee, and then in 1983 moved to Butternut. He was then employed by Saunders Wood Specalties in Park Falls. He attended the Word of Faith Church in Park Falls, and later Faith Apostolic Church in Park Falls. In his free time he enjoyed working on his hobby farm, driving tractor, 4 wheeling, visiting with family and friends, and loved trains, especially steam engines.
He is survived by his wife, Melissa; by five children, Tanya (Luke) Schneider, Park Falls, Manda (Nathan) Sleight, Ironwood, MI, Hannah (David) Altman, Spencer, Daniel (Hailey Klepac), Butternut, and Gaven (Naomi Kontny), Phillips; by nine grandchildren; by six siblings, Bonnie (Chano) Garcia, Fond du Lac, Terry (Bev), Prentice, Linda Briere, St. Francis, WI, Donald, Phillips, Beverly Hill, Hurley, WI, and James (Dawn), Phillips; and by numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by one infant sister, Mary.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, June 23, at the Heindl Funeral Home in Phillips with Pastor Rodney Otto of the Faith Apostolic Church officiating. Inurnment will be in the Lakeside Cemetery in Phillips. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 1:00 P.M. until the time of services.
