Gerry L. Hoefferle, 63, Phillips, died on Friday,July 27, 2018, at the Aspirus Wausau Hospital after a brief illness. He was born on Feb. 22, 1955, in Park Falls, the son of Rudy and Margaret (Koller) Hoefferle . He attended and graduated from Park Falls High School Class of 1973.
He was married to Deborah Laplant on June 1, 1974, in Park Falls. He was employed as a heavy equipment operator by the Hoffman Construction Co., of Black River Falls, Wi., for many years prior to his retirement.
He was a member of the Bruce Crossing Lions Club, Bruce Crossing, Mi., for many years where he held various offices, and also of the Wi. Operating Engineers Local 139.
In his free time he enjoyed the outdoors, his cats Lazy and Stretchy, woodworking, gold prospecting, playing cards, visiting the local casinos, and spending time with his family and friends especially his grandchildren and great granddaughter, Nevaeh.
He is survived by his two children: Mike (Special friend Fawn Youngbear- Tibbets), Jen (Russell) Lasee, all of Phillips, his grandchildren: Brittany (Christopher Sutton), Ivy, Jade, Meridian (Daniel Alvarez) and Tristan, by 1 great-granddaughter Neveah, by 3 brothers: Rudy (Lucy) Hoefferle, Falcon, Mo., Ron (Marie) Hoefferle, Fred (Pat) Hoefferle al of Park Falls, 1 sister Nancy (Roger) Moller, Park Falls, by 1 great Aunt Louise Hoefferle, by a special friend Linda Behrens, Tomahawk, and by many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, by his wife Deborah, by 1 brother Clarence, by 3 sisters: Elizabeth Hoefferle, Margaret Leitl and Shirley Bourgard, by his brother-in-law Jerry Bourgard and many other relatives and friends.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, July 31, 2018, at the Heindl Funeral Home Phillips, with Pastor Christian Markle officiating.
Friends may call from 9:00 A.m. on Tuesday, July 31, 2018, at the funeral home until the time of the service.
The Heindl Funeral Home, Phillips, is in charge of the arrangments.
