ELAINE CATHERINE HALVERSON
Elaine C. Halverson, 83, Phillips, died on Friday, December 1, 2017, at Aspirus Regency Center, Phillips, while under the care of Flambeau Home Health and Hospice.
She was born to the late George and Anna (Belan) Molnar on August 4, 1934, in Phillips. She attended the Arbutus Hill Grade School then attended and graduated from Phillips High School. After working for a brief time in Ashland at Munsingwear, she moved to Milwaukee and was employed at Empire Level. Elaine always made her siblings welcome when they came looking for a place to live and work!
Elaine was married to Elbert Halverson on August of 1961. Unfortunately, they were only able to enjoy a brief time together when he died at the age of 35. Elaine moved back to Phillips, found employment locally, enjoyed friendships, took care of her parents, built a home and had a long association with the IGA/Copps Store.
Elaine is survived by her brother John Molnar, Phillips, sisters: Jeanette (Berl) Thompson, Waupun, Wi., Arlene (Albert) Pesko, and Dorothy (Leonard) Bulkow, all of Wi. Rapids, Wi., by nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, December 8, 2017, at St. John Lutheran Church, Phillips, with Pastor Glenn Sokolowski officiating. Interment will be in the Lakeside Cemetery, Phillips. Friends may call at the church on Friday, December 8, 2017, from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service.
A memorial fund has been established.
